Even though West Bengal chief secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay on Monday opted to retire on the day of his superannuation, the ministry of personnel issued him a show-cause notice for not reporting to the department of personnel and training (DoPT) here this morning, as directed by in Friday's order placing his services with the government of India.
