In a Covid-hit village of Uttarakhand without medical facilities or doctors, two weddings have set an example. Instead of the groom going to fetch the bride and then returning, which would have caused people — baratis — moving out twice, the brides came to their new home with less than five persons, wed the grooms and stayed put in the village.
